On July 26th 2016 the division of Senior High welcomed the new grade 10 students and their parents. It’s always an exciting time for us all to welcome new faces into the family of senior high. Parents started filling out the benches even before 4 o’clock, the starting time. The meeting started off with Mr. Kristiantho as the principal gave a warm welcome speech for all the students and parents. After that Mr. Kris introduced all the teachers who will be teaching the new grade 10 subjects as well as the chaplain and the location coordinator. Next was an explanation about the NSW HSC Curriculum by Ms. Natasha Christiani as the HSC Coordinator as well as the new vice principal and the session was closed by an explanation from Ms. Eliana as the University counselor about how it is not too early to start thinking about where you’re going for college or university.
Parents and students then led to meet their respective Pastoral Care Teacher (PCT) in the assigned classroom for some briefing then followed by refreshment and teachers meeting in the canteen. Parents were excited to meet the teachers and were able to ask a few questions and directions about what to expect in the upcoming academic year. Everyone enjoyed the refreshment and fellowship with one another. Communication with parents is one of the key things we prioritize in this school and we are simply thankful for all the parents who showed up and attended the meeting.
